Myrtle Beach, Only Better.
Located in the heart of the famed Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kingston Plantation and the adjacent Kingston Shores together are one of the largest and most comprehensive resort complexes on the East Coast. The properties are collectively named Kingston Resorts. With multiple hotels, condos and restaurants, and more than 660,000 overnight visitors per year, Kingston Resorts operates similar to a DMO.
Kingston Plantation is a 145-acre resort that boasts more than 1,100 luxurious guest accommodations, including the 255-suite Embassy Suites Hotel as well as oceanfront condominiums, lakeside townhouses, and villas. Kingston Shores is a 12-acre resort located adjacent to Kingston Plantation. It encompasses the 385-room Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and 24-story Royale Palms condominiums, including a combination of 184 one-bedroom guestrooms and two and three-bedroom oceanview condominiums. Resort amenities include outdoor pools, a new multi-million dollar spa and fitness club, Splash! Waterpark (named one of the ten best water parks in the United States by Waterpark Resorts Today magazine), and a variety of dining options.
Otto’s integrated marketing program for Kingston Resorts supports markets including leisure, bus group tours, incentive travel, and meetings and conventions.
After creating a refined brand identity and positioning for the resort, “Myrtle Beach, Only Better,” Otto’s efforts included a cornerstone promotion, “You Deserve The Royal Treatment.” Promoted through advertising, video testimonials and email marketing, the campaign featured deserving recipients who are awarded a complimentary Kingston Resorts vacation.
Kingston Resorts receives national media attention in publications such as Convention South, Meetings & Conventions, and Successful Meetings, in addition to trade journals and regional newspapers, including The Charlotte Observer, Akron Beacon Journal, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and lifestyle magazines.
